If you’re looking at hotels for where to stay in Cannes France with your family of up to 6 people, we recommend booking the Duplex Forville Airbnb.

It’s centrally located in the heart of Cannes and you can walk to all the main attractions:

  • Le Suquet old quarter of Cannes: 4 min walk
  • Palais des Festivals (site of Cannes Film Festival) and port: 9 min walk
  • La Croisette Beach/Boulevard: 8 min walk
  • Marche Forville Market : right down the steps, 1 min walk
  • Monoprix: right down the steps, 1 min walk
  • Eglise Notre-Dame d’Esperance: 7 min
  • Vieux Port : 4 min

We stayed here for 2 nights for the second half of our 4 day French Riviera road trip.

This apartment was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a stylishly neutral minimalist vibe with lots of natural light shining through.

It has a balcony overlooking an incredible city view, with Cannes Film Festival to your left and the Eglise Notre-Dame d’Esperance church to your right and views of the sea straight ahead. If you look down in the mornings, you will witness the hustle bustle of the Marche Forville Market open daily.

Property Details:

Apartment description: 3 bedrooms with 4 beds and 2.5 bathrooms for 6 guests.

Downstairs: Spacious layout with open concept living room, dining room, and fully stocked kitchen. There is 1 queen bedroom with a full bathroom and a half bathroom near door entrance. There is a small washer unit in the kitchen.

Upstairs: Small loft with a dryer unit on one side and to the other side are two adjoining bedrooms (1 queen bed and 2 single beds) with a shared bathroom in between.

Pros:

  1. Elevator – we’ve been to a few places in Europe that did not have any elevators and walking up flights of stairs with luggage is not fun. This Airbnb is located on the 4th floor with a standard small elevator that can fit 2 people and some luggage at a time.
  2. Washer and Dryer – we made sure the Airbnb we booked had a washer and dryer as we were in Europe for around 3 weeks with only carry on luggage and stayed mainly at hotels.

Cons

  1. The washer is downstairs and the dryer is upstairs which was inconvenient but we were grateful it even had both – so just a small con.
  2. The apartment does not have a designated parking spot. The host did mention a indoor public parking lot, but we had a van that couldn’t fit so had to find street parking, which was difficult.  If you have a regular small car, parking in the lot should be easy.
  3. If you have a toddler like we did the stairs going up felt a bit steep and dangerous so we made sure he didn’t go up there.

Communications with host:

The host was responsive and answered all our questions leading up to our stay. She also greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the home and was available via Whatsapp during our stay.

Check in time: 4pm

Check out time: 10am

COST:

We went in late September and stayed for 2 nights with our family of 6 for a total of $1,256.60. We split the cost by room and our immediate family of 3 paid $418.87.
