You’ve been seeing the trés chic Dior Des Lices Café in St Tropez all over Instagram  and dying to know – is it worth the visit?

Here’s everything you need to know before planning your next visit to the Dior Café in the South of France.

Summer Pop Up

Dior des Lices is a summer pop-up café-restaurant in a charming and chic provençal-style courtyard garden in front of Christian Dior’s resort flagship store. It’s only open June through mid-October from 9am-11pm. 3 star Michelin star chef Yannick Alléno presides over the sweet and savory summer menu.   Location

We drove from Cannes to St. Tropez, which took around 1.5 hours. If you’re driving from Nice to St. Tropez, expect closer to a 2 hour drive.

Address

13 rue François Sibilli St-Tropez, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur  83990, France

Phone

(33) 04 98 12 67 65

Reservations

We highly recommend that you make reservations for Dior des Lices well in advance as this place does get crowded.

The best way to make reservations (especially if you’re in the States and can’t call them) is to check if your credit card company has a concierge service that can book it for you.

We used American Express Platinum concierge service and they were able to secure us reservations at even tough to get restaurants.

Cancellation Policy

Some places will charge your card a fee per person for a missed reservation. Their policy is as follows:

“In order to preserve our relationship with the restaurant, we ask that if your plans change for any reason, please let us know at your earliest convenience so that we may advise them as a courtesy. 24 hours in advance is recommended.”

Dress code

No dress code, but take advantage of the beautiful vibes and take some photos.

Food

We had 10am reservations so ordered off the brunch menu.  We recommend ordering “Le Petit-Dejeuner Dior” set (€35) which is a beautiful breakfast spread with a basket of pastries, a variety of local jam, butter, yogurt, orange juice, and hot chocolate. Lennon loved the hot chocolate. The Oeuf Marie Madeleine with salmon, is a delicious dish with eggs on a brioche bread with lox. The signature cappuccino is €9. If you’re feeling fancy, top your meal with some caviar (starting at €135). Everything was beautifully presented and served on Dior bone china

If you stick around until 11am for their lunch menu, you can order the popular D’Choux, which are tiny round pastries filled with cream.

Service

The servers were friendly and service was great.

Price

Expect to spend around €35-40/person. We also ordered the caviar so our bill came out to €318 for a party of 6 people.

Day Trip Tip

If you’re planning a day trip to St Tropez, we recommend starting your day with brunch here, then walk on up to the Dior resort flagship store to do some VAT-free shopping.

Then stroll around the area for some more designer shops including Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Zimmermann, etc.

Afterwards drive 10-15 minutes beachside and spend the rest of the evening at Loulou Ramateulle or Gigi Ramateulle. Sunbed rentals can get a bit pricey, so if you’re looking for a budget friendly alternative, pack your own beach towel and hang out on the same public beach for free.

Don’t forget to pack some swim clothes and your passport.

Rating

So is the Dior des Lices worth the visit? Absolutely. 10/10.
